GeoHab 2008 was held 29 April to 2 May at Harrington Centennial Hall in Sitka, Alaska. The conference was organized by Cleo Brylinski (Alaska Department of Fish and Game), Tory O’Connell, Jennifer Reynolds (University of Alaska) and their team.

The theme of the conference was Deep-sea Marine Benthic Habitats and High-seas Marine Protected Areas.

Sponsors included the Alaska Department of Fish and Game, the University of Alaska, and the Circum-Pacific Council.
